Chocolate Burnt Cheesecake

I made a simple yet delicious Chocolate Burnt Cheesecake for my birthday. It looks very rustic and comforting, definitely a dessert that will win the heart of all. 

I forgot to take a picture of the cake. So, I'll just post a picture of me with the cake!😅


Chocolate Burnt Cheesecake

Ingredients :

500g cream cheese (奶油芝士)

120g caster sugar (细砂糖)

5 eggs (鸡蛋)- grade A

200ml whipping cream (动物性鲜奶油)

250g melted dark chocolate (黑巧克力溶化)

10g cocoa powder (可可粉)

10g corn flour  (玉米粉)


Method:

  1. Prepare an 8-inch round pan with parchment paper. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius .
  2. Melt chocolate over simmering water.
  3. Beat cream cheese lightly add sugar and mix well.
  4. Add eggs one by one and mix well.
  5. Add fresh cream and mix well. 
  6. Add in melted chocolate and mix well, and finally, add cornstarch and cocoa powder and mix well.
  7. After sieving the batter once(optional), pour it to the prepared pan.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven for 25 minutes, cool at room temperature for at least 1 hour, and then refrigerate overnight (more than 6 hours).
  9. It's best to let it sit at room temperature for 10-15 minutes after taking it out from the refrigerator before eating.
