Chocolate Cresent Rolls

I was trying to use up the balance of chocolate chips. So I made this yummy chocolate cresent rolls. 





Chocolate Cresent Rolls


Ingredients:

250g   High gluten flour

25g      Cocoa Powder

40g     Sugar

3g       Salt 

200g   Milk 

3g       Dry yeast 

25g     Unsalted butter 

50g     Chocolate chips 

Some chocolate chips for filling(optional)


Method:

  1. Mix in all ingredients (except butter) and knead till form a dough.
  2. Add in butter and knead until the butter is completely incorporated. 
  3. Add in chocolate chips and knead for 1 minute. Transfer the dough to table. Round it and rest for 15 minutes.
  4. Flatten the dough and divide or cut the dough into 14-16 equal triangle portions.
  5. Shaping:  put some chocolate chips on top and swiss roll up the dough into a cresent roll, and do the same with the rest dough. 
  6. Cover the dough and ferment for 1-2 hours. (It depends on the room temperature)
  7. Preheat the oven at 180°C.
  8. Brush milk on the surface.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes.( It depend on the oven, please adjust the baking time accordingly.)
