Banana Yogurt Cake

There are some bananas on the counter, so I decided to bake a banana cake. The cake is soft and it is not too sweet, and pairs perfectly with the chocolate ganache.😘



Banana Yogurt Cake


3            Bananas (mashed)

2            Eggs

90g       Caster sugar

1 tsp     Vanilla essence

150g     Plain yogurt

180g     All-purpose flour

2 tsps   Baking powder

30g       Butter (melted)


Topping:

80g  Chocolate bars ( chopped)

100g  Whipping cream

Some chopped roasted Macadamia nuts


Method:

  1. Mix all ingredients well until the batter is smooth.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven at 180 ° C for about 30-35 minutes.
  3. Cool the cake completely.
  4. Heat the cream until bubbles form on the sides( do not boil). 
  5. Pour the hot cream over chopped chocolate and let it sit for a few minutes. Then mix well.
  6. Wait til the chocolate cream slightly thicken, then pour over the banana yogurt cake, sprinkle the chopped macadamia nuts on top.
