Chocolate Cake

While baking the donuts, I make this chocolate cake too! 😅 Another easy recipe to make this chocolate cake.😘




Chocolate Cake

Ingredients:

130g    Sugar 

2           Egg

170g   Flour

40g      Cocoa powder

50g      Oil 

1 tsp    Baking powder

130 ml   Boiling water 


Chocolate cream:

30g    Butter

40g    Milk 

80g    Dark Chocolate 


Topping:

Chopped Pecan


Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C.  Grease an 8-inch ring cake pan.
  2. Sift dry ingredients into a bowl and set aside.
  3. Beat sugar and egg till fluffy.
  4. Add in sifted flour in three batches and mix well.
  5. Add hot liquids and gently stir until there are no lumps.
  6. Pour into pan and bake for 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool completely in the pan and frost, glaze, or dust with powdered sugar.
  8. Heat the milk and butter over low heat until  the butter has dissolved. When you see some bubling at the side of the pan, turn off the heat.
  9. Pour into chopped chocolate bowl, and stir till the chocolate melts. Set aside.
  10. Pour over cooled chocolate cake and keep in the fridge to set before cutting it. After 5 minutes, sprinkle some chopped pecans onto cake and keep in the fridge again. ( The cake can be kept at room temperature, but the weather now is very hot, so I put the cake in the fridge.)
