Black Sesame Pau 黑芝麻包馒头

These man tou texture is very nice. Soft yet chewy.  I love the black sesame pao skin with the black sesame paste filling. 😊



Black Sesame Pao 黑芝麻包馒头

Ingredients:

20g       Black sesame powder 

20g       White sugar 

280g    All-purpose flour   

3g         Yeast          

150g     Water

-(Dough divided into 10 equal portions, 40 g each)


Filling:

200g    Black sesame paste (10 portions, 20g each)


Instruction:

1. Mix all the ingredients and cover and rest for 5 minutes. Then kneed  until the dough is formed. Cover and proof until double in size.

2. Roll the dough into a long sausage and cut it into equal 10 pieces of about 40g each. 

3. Press the dough and fill it up with black sesame paste ball and close it up. 

4. The pao need to proof for 30 minutes in a warm place. 

5. Steam for 13 - 15 minutes in medium high heat. 

6. When the time is up, turned off the heat and leave for about 5 minutes.

7. Be careful when open the lid to avoid water drip on the paos.
