Lemon Cream Cheese Frosting 柠檬奶油芝士糖霜

This homemade lemon cream cheese frosting is creamy and lemony.   I'm sure everyone will love this yummy frosting and easy to make frosting. I prefered less sweet frosting on my cake. So, I always used about 30%-35% powdered sugar from the recipe that I followed. 

How much frosting will you need?  That always depends on how thick or thin you apply the frosting or how much decorating you do. This recipe should make enough frosting to cover a two or three layer 8″ cake.  If you are making cupcakes, you should be able to frost 24 cupcakes. If you swirl on the frosting with a pastry bag, you should be able to frost 15-18 cupcakes depending on the size of the swirl.

Lemon Cream Cheese Frosting 柠檬奶油芝士糖霜


Ingredients:

115g   Butter (Softened)

225g   Cream Cheese (Softened)

60ml   Lemon Juice

1 tsp   Lemon Zest

200g   Powdered Sugar


Method:

  1. Juice and zest a large lemon.
  2. Beat cream cheese, butter, lemon juice and lemon zest in a mixer until blended.
  3. Mix in Powdered Sugar a cup at a time and continue to mix until sugar is incorporated.


Note:

  • If the frosting is too runny, add additional powdered sugar. Keep adding powdered sugar 2 Tbsp at a time until you have the frosting at the desired consistency.
