Sourdough Bomboloni (Sourdough Doughnuts)

A lenghtly bulk fermentation doughnuts. These donuts have been proofed for two nights. So, the donuts are much fluffier and lighter due to a longer fermentation period and more trapped air. But it also adds a mild sourness that helps to balance the sweetness from the dough. I like to eat on its own with a light dusting of cinnamon sugar and my kids like to eat the donut filled with whipped cream. 😊
