This ONE PAN Pork Chop Recipe is simple to make.
For the best flavour, sear some pork chops in a butter/oil mixture. Once your chops are done, you’re then going to sauté the mushrooms with garlic and herbs for even BIGGER flavours. Don’t forget to scrape up any browned bits leftover on the pan from the chops…MORE flavours here. Simply add in the cream, simmer until thickened, then add the chops back in to absorb all of those favours!
Pork Chops with Creamy Mushroom Sauce
INGREDIENTS:
6 Pork Chops, bone in or boneless (about 1-inch thick)
1 tsp Seasoning salt (adjust to your taste)
1/2 tsp Cracked Black Pepper
2 Tbsps Cooking Oil
2 Tbsps Butter
Creamy Mushroom Sauce:
1 packet Grey Mushrooms( or any type of mushrooms)
Dried Parsley ( or fresh chopped parsley)
Dried Thyme
Cracked Black Pepper
4 cloves Garlic crushed
1 Tbsp Flour
200ml Cooking cream
1/2 cup Fresh milk
1 Tbsp Oyster sauce
Dash of Salt and Pepper (adjust to your taste)
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Season chops with seasoning salt and pepper and leave in the fridge for 30 minutes or longer. Heat oil and butter in a frying pan or skillet over medium-high until butter is melted.
2. When pan is hot, sear chops for about 3-4 minutes per side until golden browned and the centre is no longer bright pink. Transfer to a warm plate. Set aside.
3. Add the mushrooms and crushed garlic to the buttery juices in the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes over medium heat. Scrape up any bits left over from the chops. When mushrooms are browned, add flour anf stir fry until all mix well with the mushrooms. Add parsley, thyme and oyster sauce; sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
4. Pour in the cream and milk, bring to a gentle simmer for 1-2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, to your taste.
5. Add the chops back into the sauce, allow to simmer for 2-3 minutes to heat through or until slightly thickened.
