This is literally my first time making so many variety patterns of cookies.

Christmas Butter Cookies圣诞黄油曲奇


Ingredients:

■Vanilla cookies

100g   unsalted butter

60g     powdered sugar

pinch of salt

1/2     vanilla beans

1         egg yolk

130g  cake flour

35g    ground almonds


■Cocoa cookies

100g   unsalted butter

60g     powdered sugar

10g     cocoa powder

pinch of salt

1          egg yolk

125g   cake flour

30g     ground almonds


Directions:

  1. Cream unsalted butter until smooth.
  2. Add in powdered sugar and mix.
  3. Add in egg  yolk  and mix well.
  4. Sift  the cake flour and almond powder into the mixture.
  5. Mix well until smooth.
  6. wrap each of them with cling wrap.
  7. Refrigerate for about 30 mins.
  8. Roll out the dough into 5mm then refrigerate again for at lease 1 hour until harden.
  9. Pre-heat the oven at 170℃.  Cut out the cookies.
  10. Bake at 170℃ for 13-15 mins, check if the edges are golden.
  11. Remove from oven and let cool.
