These are no bake buns and a non stick pan will do! Simple and easy. Since I'm praticing not to use my oven at the moment... so I made these buns for my family. It's has a soft, almost pillowy type interior with an equally soft crust.They are equally taste great as baked bread.
Mayonnaise Tuna Buns 美乃滋吞拿鱼面包
Ingredients:
Bread:
150 g All-Purpose Flour
40 g Warm Water
1 pc Egg
1.5 g Dried Yeast
5 g Sugar
¼ tsp Salt
10 g Unsalted Butter
Filling:
1 can Tuna Chunk
Mayonnaise 60g
Ground black pepper ¼g
Method:
- Add in the yeast in warm water, stir and let it rest for 5 minutes.
- Mix the flour, sugar, salt, egg and yeast mixtures, mix all together with a wooden spoon until it turns into 1 lump.
- Add in butter and knead the dough until it turns smooth and elastic.
- Cover and let the dough to rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Deflate the dough and knead it for a few minutes. Divide the dough into 6 pieces and roll each piece into a ball. Cover and rest for 10 minutes.
- Place one dough onto the kneading board, thinly dust the surface with flour, and flatten the dough and shaping it into a flat circle. Repeat with the rest of the dough balls.
- Wrap in tuna filling and tightly to seal. Round it and flatten the bun a bit and lay the bun sealed-side down on a parchment paper. Brush some water on the bun and sprinkle some black and white sesame seeds on top. Repeat with the rest of dough.
- Let them rise for 30-45 mins or until doubled in size.
- Heat the non stick frying pan. Place the buns into frying pan and cover with lid, cooking for 8 minutes on low heat.
- Flip the buns and cover with lid, and continue to cook for another 8 minutes.
