核桃酥 Walnut Cookies / Hap Toh Soh
Ingredients :
300g plain flour (普通面粉)
1/2 tsp baking powder(发粉)
1/2 tsp baking soda (苏打粉)
150g pork lard (猪油)( I used Sun Flower Oil)
150g caster sugar (细砂糖)
1 egg
Some walnuts for decoration
核桃适量,装饰用
1 egg, mixed with 1/8 tsp of salt and lightly beaten, for glazing
1粒鸡蛋,加入1/8小匙盐打散,涂饼用
Method:
(1) Add all ingredients except oil. Slowly add in oil and mix till form a soft dough.
(2) Weigh dough 10g each and roll into small round balls and place onto baking tray.
(3)Use finger/ bottle cap to create a depression on the cookie.
(4) Egg glaze the cookies and sprinkle some sesamr seeds and bake at 170C for about 15 - 18 mins or until golden colour.
(5) Remove oven and cool on wire rack.
