Keto Bread/ Low Carb Bread/ Flourless and Yeast Free Bread

My husband asked for keto bread. So, as a home baker in the house, I found this simple recipe to make and bake for him. He said the bread is nice and tasty.😊

The bread is a little “eggy” tasting, but the texture is really good. If you spread some butter or garlic butter or peanut butter or ... you won't taste the " eggy" in the bread!😉


Keto Bread/ Low Carb Bread/ Flourless and Yeast Free Bread


Ingredients

200 g    Almond meal/flour

2 tsp     Baking powder

1 tsp     Salt or to taste

20 g      Psyllium husk*

4          Eggs - medium

55 g    Butter melted

125 ml Warm water

*Psyllium husk~In keto baking, it helps create a chewy texture and also makes low carb gluten-free bread recipes more sturdy.


Instructions:

  1. Place all the dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Add the eggs, melted butter and warm water. Mix until combined.
  3. Pour the flourless bread batter into a lined loaf tin or a silicon loaf tin. 
  4. Bake at 180C/350F for 30 minutes, or until golden on the outside and cooked thoroughly inside. It appears some ovens require a longer cooking time, so please be guided by your oven.

Note:

I found 1 tsp of salt is a bit too salty. Will be reduced it to 1/2 tsp of salt on my next baking of this keto bread.
