This ia a very straight forward method to make butter cake. The complicated job is to make a marble look/pattern on the cake. In fact, you can create your favorite patterns on the cake, as a result, that is a masterpiece of yours anyway! 😍

I made two extra cupcakes👆 with the balance of colour batter.
I accidently dropped the cake👆 on the table when I flipped the cake upside down😅, so the patterns on the cake was damaged... sigh!! So I dressed up the cake with a simple butter cheese cream. This cake was made for celebrating my husband's birthday.
Jelita Marble Cake 美丽大理石蛋糕
Ingredients:
5 eggs
220g Cake flour
170g granulated sugar
1 tbsp ovalette (30g)
60g full cream milk
1 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla essence
150g salted butter (melted)
Method:
- Lightly grease the 8" square pan and line with baking paper.
- Sift the flour.
- Pour in all the ingredients except butter in a stand mixer bowl and beat until thick and pale yellow in color.
- Slowly add in melted butter and continue beating until well combined.
- Divide the batter accordiing to the colour you want to make.
- Preheat the oven to 160°C.
- Pour the plain batter into the greased baking pan. Shake it lightly to distribute the cake batter evenly.
- Design the pattern of cake with the colour batter.
- Bake the cake about 50 - 60 minutes. To prevent the top of the cake from over browning, cover the top of the baking pan with a sheet of aluminum foil once the cake top is set. Use a cake tester to test doneness.
