Hot Dog Buns 熱狗面包

This hot dog bun is easy to make. Fluffy, soft and delicious!😘 You can stuffed with sausage or coffee butter cream or any filling that you preferred.





👆I filled it with cream cheese, yummy😋!!

Hot Dog Buns 熱狗


Ingredients配料:

高筋面粉 bread flour   240g

细砂糖 sugar   30g

盐 salt   1.5g (1/4tsp)

即溶酵母 instant yeast   3g (1tsp)

全蛋 whole egg   1 (50g+- per egg)

鮮奶 fresh milk   110ml+-

无盐奶油 unsalted butter   20g 

香肠 sausage

蛋黄酱 mayonnaise


Method:

  • Mix together bread flour, sugar, salt, egg, milk, instant yeast and knead well.
  • Once dough forms a ball, continue kneading until dough is elastic (till you can pull a thick, rough membrane)
  • Add  butter into dough and continue kneading until dough is smooth and you can pull a thin membrane)
  • Cover dough  and proof  till twice in size, about 60 mins.
  • Punch out the air in the dough and split the dough into 6 pieces. 
  • Shape each portion into small balls and cover with cling wrap to prevent drying and rest for 15 mins.
  • To shape, flatten the dough and roll into rectangle shape. Roll into a cylinder.
  • Place shaped buns onto a lined baking sheet. Cover with cling wrap and let the shaped buns proof till 1.5 - 2X in size.
  • Brush some milk onto buns then bake at 170°C for 16- 18 mins.
  • Let buns cool on the pan for a bit then transfer to a cooling rack. 
  • To make hot dog bun, make a slit in the centre, place in a sausage(Hog Dog), spread some mustard or mayo or any sauce that you preferred. Enjoy!
