The best ever Chocolate Chip Banana Cake is always a huge hit. Moist and flavorful banana cake using butter, evaporated milk, bananas, walnut and chocolate chips.

This deliciously moist Chocolate Chip Banana Cake with walnuts, perfect for using up those ripe bananas. Easy to make and great for a tea-time treat. This is my go-to banana cake recipe that everyone loves. I bet!! 😉



Walnut & Chocolate Chips Banana Butter Cake

INGREDIENTS:

110g  All Purpose Flour

95   Cake Flour

1 tsp  Baking soda

1/2 tsp Kosher Salt

110g Unsalted Butter, melted 

160g  Granulated Sugar

2   Large Eggs

1/4 cup Evaporated Milk

1 tsp  Vanilla extract

3    Ripe Bananas, mashed

1/2 cup Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips

Some Chopped Toasted Walnuts 


DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat oven to 180℃. Line a 8" square pan with parchment paper and grease with butter.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another large bowl, mix together melted butter, sugar, eggs , milk, and vanilla. Add mashed bananas and stir until combined. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients until just combined. 
  4. Fold in chocolate chips and transfer to prepared 8" square pan. Sprinkle chopped walnuts and some chocolate chips on top of batter.
  5. Bake until a toothpick comes out clean, about 50 minutes. Let cool 10 minutes in pan, then turn out onto a cooling rack to cool completely.

Tips:

  1. You may omit cake flour and  using  220g all purpose flour in this recipe.
  2. You can substitute the evaporated milk with full cream milk or sour cream or dairy fresh cream or yogurt.
  3. You can add more sugar if you desire.
