Ham Chim Peng 咸煎饼

When I searching for Ham Chim Peng recipes... I saw this simple recipe without using yeast, so I wanna to try this recipe... Well, the texture wasn't my liking type! 😅

I made 9 pieces of red bean Ham Chim Peng( becauce I only have 180g red bean paste in the fridge) and 6 pieces of Five Spice Ham Chim Peng.

**Five Spice fillings: (mix well)
    1 tbsp water
    1 teaspoon Five spice powder
    1/4 teaspoon salt

**五香粉馅料:(拌匀)
    1汤匙 水
    1茶匙 五香粉
    1/4 茶匙盐





Red bean dumplings (Ham Chin Peng)
 Ingredients                                            
300 gram wheat flour
1 tbsp baking powder
2 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp shortening
2 pieces fermented red beancurd / nam yee
200ml water

Filling
300g red bean paste, divided to 15 portions
some white sesame seeds

Method:
1.Sift the wheat flour and baking powder into a mixing bowl. 
2.Add in the remaining ingredients and knead it evenly into a dough . Cover it with cling paper and leave it rest for 30 minutes.
3.Divide dough into 15 portions (about 35 g each).  Wrap in the red bean paste into the dough , make it into round shape and flatten it. 
4.Brush a thin layer of water onto the dough and sprinkle some white sesame seeds on top.
5.Rest for 15 minutes.
6.Deep fry the dumplings with medium heat until turn golden brown. 
7.Leave it to cool and ready to enjoy!!

南乳红豆咸煎饼
材料:
300克面粉
1汤匙发粉
2汤匙糖
1汤匙白油
2块南乳/红腐乳
200毫升水

内陷:
300克红豆沙,分成15份
一些白芝麻

做法:
1. 把面粉和发粉过筛入一个大碗 。
2.加入其他材料搓揉成面团,用保鲜纸包着让面团休息30分钟。
3.把面团分成15份(1份35克左右),裹入红豆沙馅。搓成圆形然后压扁。
4.在(3)表面刷一层水,洒上白芝麻。
5. 让成品休息15分钟。
6.用中火把咸煎饼炸至金黄色。
7.待其冷却就可以享用了!!
