Bread Pudding 面包布丁

My family LOVES bread pudding, so I have to double this recipe, and bake it for my family! It's great for breakfast or dessert and is delicious with milk poured on top or without! Enjoy!"



Ingredients:


  1. One loaf of  day-old bread 
  2. 6 tablespoons butter, melted 
  3. 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional) 
  4. 4 eggs, beaten 
  5. 2 cups milk (I used 1 cup milk and 1 cup evaporated milk)
  6. 1/2 cup white sugar 
  7. 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 
  8.  teaspoon vanilla extract 

-Add all ingredients to list

Method:


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Cut bread into small pieces into a 9 inch rectangular baking pan. Drizzle melted butter or margarine over bread. If desired, sprinkle with chocolate chips.
  3. In a medium mixing bowl, combine eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla. Beat until well mixed. Pour over bread, and lightly push down with a fork until bread is covered and soaking up the egg mixture.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the top springs back when lightly tapped.
