Chicken Kurma Curry


Kurma curry is my kids favourite food too. I'm sure they will like it and add more rice to eat with the kurma gravy.^^

Chicken Korma 

Ingredients:
1.8kg  chicken, cut into pieces
6  Potato cut into half
2  bombay onion cut into wedges 
2 tomato
Some  oil
2  2-inch cinnamon stick
3 star anise
4 cloves
3 stalks of  lemongrass
Some curry leaves
1/2 tablespoon minced ginger
1/2 tablespoon minced garlic
1/2 tablespoon minced shallot
1  coconut  santan
 Some water
 1 teaspoon salt

Marinade:
Some kurma curry powder ( I used Babas brand)

Method:
1. Marinate chicken with Marinade ingredients for 30 minutes to 1 hour.

2. Heat up wok with oil, stir-fry the items listed under Ingredients and let the whole spices to sizzle a bit until fragrant. Toss in the marinated chicken (with the marinade) potato and continue to stir-fry for 10 minutes.

3. Add in water, onion and tomato.Turn heat to medium-low, cover the wok and cook for 15minutes, or until the oil slightly separates, chicken is tender enough and you have achieve the gravy consistency that you prefer.Add in santan, continue cook for 10 minutes.

4. Salt to taste. Dish out and serve with rice.
