Actually, I baked this Green Tea cake for my dear friend~~~ Swee Leng as a birthday cake. But... I was not satisfied with the cake because it looks short! So, ended up my kids and I gobbled up the cake at home......yummy, the cake is nice ! I should bring it there for her ....wakaka.... (。◠‿◠。)
Love the green tea flavour and the butter cream. I definitely will bake it again... (✿ ◡ ✿)
Green Tea Cake with Butter Cream
Ingredients :
(A)
4 Egg yolks
20g Sugar
40g Corn oil
40g Fresh milk
70g Flour
10g Green Tea powder
(B)
4 Egg whites
80g Sugar
(C)
50g Butter
20g Icing sugar
2tbp Fresh milk
Method :
(1) Mix egg yolks, sugar, fresh milk and cornoil together and stir till mixture is smooth.

50g Butter
20g Icing sugar
2tbp Fresh milk
Method :
(1) Mix egg yolks, sugar, fresh milk and cornoil together and stir till mixture is smooth.
(2) Add in flour and green tea powder and mix evenly.
(3) Whisk egg white with sugar till stiff peak. Fold in egg yolk mixture and pour mixture into a 7" square tin.
(4) Bake at 170C for about 30 mins. or till skewer inserted comes out clean.
(5) Leave cake to cool on wire rack and slice cake into 3 slices.
(6) Beat butter till creamy then add in icing sugar and continue to beat . Add in milk in 2 batches, stir untill you get a smooth butter cream.
(7) Spread the butter cream on the sliced cake and cover with another sliced cake and spread the remaining butter cream on top, then cover with the last slice of cake .
(8) Cover with a plastic wrap and chill the cake at least 4 hours.
